...I just freakin' love my hair.

I finally got some rollers, so I can either put bigger curls in my hair, or make it straight without using heat. I can wear my hair big by not detangling for a few days or picking it out. If I shingle conditioner through my hair, I can define my curls and show a little more length. My hair's almost back to the length it was right before I cut it all off, so I can wear a bun now. I can do braids and twists, braid-outs and twist-outs...I'm sure I'm missing something, because natural hair is so diverse! I love it, I love it, I love it.



And I bowed to peer pressure and got a Fotki account for my hair journal.

That is all for my nappy propaganda today.

I'm not opposed to wearing my hair straight from time to time, but I when I went natural, I knew I wasn't going to risk heat damage on my hair, so I assumed I'd just never wear it straight again.

Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. It can be done by air drying on giant rollers, and it looks very good.

I can't try it out yet, though. I'm twisting my hair for the week (I don't want to deal with my hair this week, since I have orientation for four days and an hour-long commute...) and I'm lacking in the giant rollers and bobby pins department. I'd definitely like to do this at the end of the year, when my hair is back to the length it was immediately before the big chop.

I took the natural hair entries off my journal a couple of months ago because I wanted to move it to Random Mind. It's finally up, although most of the commentary is still missing. It'll get there.

And then I realized I didn't have a natural hair icon for this journal - the horror! So I made of few of Princess Tiana from Disney's upcoming film. (Which I fully plan to see. In theaters. I know, I'm easy.)
